What is Yananyaa?

Yananyaa is a small software project that turns everyday needs into simple web tools. Nothing needs to be installed: every tool opens in a normal browser on a phone or a computer, works on ordinary mobile data, and is designed to be light and simple for people everywhere: students, teachers, sellers, freelancers and small teams. Only the job board is focused on one country, Ethiopia. WIDA is the education and workplace side of the family: the exam portal, the attendance system and the job board.

Y Hub, the page you are reading, is the front door. It lists every tool in one place, and the blog explains each tool in plain language, with step-by-step guidance and practical tips, so that you can decide quickly whether a tool fits your situation.

Who uses these tools

Students, teachers and schools

Teachers can run online exams with the secure exam portal, record daily attendance, and hold classes by browser video meeting without asking students to install anything. Students can join from a phone.

Small businesses and sellers

Anyone can open a free online store page, list products with prices, and post free classified ads in the market. Buyers contact the seller directly, so there is no middleman and no complicated checkout to learn.

Job seekers and employers

The job board, which is focused on Ethiopia, collects new vacancies published across the country each day. Employers can post a vacancy in a few minutes, and job seekers can contact them directly. If you want to present your own work, the portfolio builder gives you a personal page that you can manage from one dashboard.

Common questions

Are the tools free?

Yes. You can use the tools without paying. The site may show advertising from Google AdSense to cover running costs; ads are always kept separate from the tools and articles.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Everything works in the browser. An Android app file is also offered on this page for people who prefer it.

Who builds and maintains Yananyaa?

Yananyaa is built and maintained by Haileyesus Ingidu, a full-stack developer based in Ethiopia. You can read more on the About page.

How do I report a problem or suggest a feature?

Use the Contact page or write to ingiduhaileyesus@gmail.com. Messages are read by the developer personally, and we usually reply within two business days.

Which tool should I use?

If you are not sure where to start, match your goal to a tool. Each of them is free to try and opens directly in your browser.

  • I want to meet or teach online: use Conference for browser-based video meetings and virtual classrooms. It suits interviews, team calls and lessons.
  • I want to sell something: open a free page in My Store, or post a free classified ad in the Market. Both let buyers contact you directly.
  • I am looking for a job or an employee: Work lists vacancies from across Ethiopia and lets employers post their own.
  • I am a teacher or school administrator: the Exam Portal handles online tests, and the attendance system keeps registers in one place.
  • I want to show my work: the Portfolio builder gives you a personal website managed from one dashboard.
  • I want to stay in touch: Chat is a simple messaging app with voice notes and file sharing that works on any device.

How we write and maintain this site

Everything on Y Hub is written for people who use the tools. Our guides explain a single topic from start to finish, avoid unnecessary jargon, and aim to be useful even if you never use a Yananyaa product. We update articles when something changes, and we welcome corrections: if you notice a mistake or have a topic you would like us to cover, write to us through the Contact page.

The site is free to use and may show advertising from Google AdSense to cover running costs. Our Privacy Policy explains in plain language what data is collected and how you can control it.

Frequently asked questions about Yananyaa

Is Yananyaa really free to use?

Yes. Video meetings, your online store page, classified ads, chat and job listings are free to start with. You do not need a credit card, and nothing is hidden behind a trial period. We only show a few Google ads to cover running costs, and they never block the tools.

Is Yananyaa only for Ethiopia?

No. Video meetings, online stores, classifieds, chat, exams, attendance and portfolios are for everyone, anywhere. Only the Work job board is focused on Ethiopia, because it collects vacancies published there.

Do I have to install anything?

No. Every tool opens in your phone or computer browser. If you prefer an app, you can download the Android file from the Download card on this page.

Will it work on slow internet or a small data bundle?

Yes. Yananyaa is built to be light: pages load quickly, video meetings adapt to weak connections, and our blog has a guide on saving mobile data.

How do I start selling online?

Open My Store, create your page, add photos and prices, and share the link on Telegram, Facebook, TikTok or anywhere. Buyers contact you directly, so there is no middleman and no commission.

Is it safe for exams, chat and my personal data?

The Secure Exam Portal is made for schools, and we collect only what each tool needs. Read our Privacy Policy for the plain-language details, and never share passwords in a chat or message.

Who is behind Yananyaa, and how can I reach them?

Yananyaa is built by Haileyesus Ingidu. Press the Message button at the top of this page, call +251 95 793 8501, or write to us on Telegram. A real person reads every message, usually within two business days.
